What does that look like?
First evaluate your top skill sets, then evaluate how you can apply those top skill sets to make a difference in your community.
And if your a business owner (small or large, Sole Proprietor, or Corporate) evaluate the product/services you offer, then evaluate how your product and or services can make a difference within your community.
That would also include your revenue. For example, if you're a Corporate and have wicked revenue, look at what is missing in your community, and make a commitment to invest in a project that will make a difference.
However, if you're a Small Based Business, and just starting out, evaluate in what way you can volunteer your time and services relevant to the needs of your community.
For me, my skill sets include Martial Arts, Military, Security, Leadership, Public Speaking, Presentations, Instructing, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Legal, and Private Investigations.
So, how would my skill sets make a difference for my community? I would first evaluate the needs of the community, then narrow down the skill sets relevant to those needs.
And this is where my motto comes in:
"Making a Difference One Case At a Time"
