For a time I was trying to get a lock on my calling, and how that plays into my Private Investigation career goals. Last year (July 24, 2020) while I was reading the Haftorah portion of Parashat D'varim, I discovered my calling and how that plays into my PI career goals.
the following is an outline of Isaiah 1: 1-27:
1. Devote Yourself To Justice; 2. Aid The Wronged; 3. Uphold The Rights Of The Orphaned; 4. Defend The Cause Of The Widowed.
Then I broke it down:
1. Conduct Investigations to seek the truth and recommend appropriate action; conduct cold cases and try to bring the suspect to justice, and peace to the family and friends of the victim; conduct investigations to bring justice for those victimized by crime; seek justice for those victimized by criminal harassment (aka: bullying or stalking);
2. Investigate the allegations to determine if there were mistakes in an alleged wrongful conviction; ensure justice is pursued and the correct suspect is brought to justice;
3. Protect the rights of those in custody of the govt. (i.e. MCFD);
4. Protect the elder from abuse or fraud, or small claims actions, or where a single parent (either mother or father) have been victimized by alleged child protective services (i.e. MCFD).
